My Sisters Place asked us to take their entire case management system into a new database which would make it easier for their staff to manage, allowing them longer with their clients.
Their previous system was a combination of computer systems and paper based records. We combined all of these into an easy to use system that saves them time and money.
At its core, the case management system is a database of client information, everything from contact details to family details.
Each member of staff then has unique access where they can assign tasks and write notes against each client. Each member of staff then has a unique task manager where they can see the tasks they have to complete as well as the option to upload files and update clients.
The real power of the case management system comes from the systems searching and reporting tools. Searching is available through the use of filters across every aspect of the system; these filters can be applied together allowing a very specific result set. These results can then be output to Excel for additional manipulation.
The system also records Outcome information for each client allowing Outcome reporting directly from the case management system. Users have the ability to use the same filtering system on the Outcome output allowing for Outcome reporting on a specific set of clients.
The case management system is a web based application; this means that it can be used internally within a company or as a web based application, giving its users access from any computer in the world. The system also features administration accounts, this lets a specific set of people add/remove users as well as make some structural changes to the system such as drop down lists, etc..
